This unit includes everything you need to teach, and dig deeper, into reading literature genres and nonfiction genres in middle school and upper elementary.

As an upper grade teacher, I often find that I assume my students have an understanding of literary information like genres. My 5th-8th graders tend to have a basic and simple understanding of things like genre, but I want them to really be able to analyze and dig deep into these concepts and that is the reason for these types of units.
