These bell ringers were designed to be 100% digital, stress-free, print-free, and prep-free so students can be 100% independent and get to work right away while teachers have time to take attendance and get ready for each class period.
THESE ARE THE EXACT SAME BELL RINGERS AS MY ELA Bell Ringers Upper Elementary Middle School. These are now included in that original file so you don’t need to purchase these separately. This is the Digital Google Slides version only. Students type directly into the slides and submit them through Google Classroom.
Here’s what you’ll get:
-
Editable Google Slides Version. Adapted instructions and slides for students to complete all work in Google Classroom.
Prep is quick and easy… Just assign them in your digital classroom. Students will type right into their Google slides.
Your students will love knowing exactly what to do when they enter class and you’ll love that you’ll finally have time to take attendance because students will be 100% independent. They’ll easily get to work and learn important ELA concepts each day.
All of these bell ringers are based on the fifth and sixth-grade reading and language common core standards and concepts. Each day gives enough information for students to be able to review or learn as they work, so you aren’t spending that precious time trying to teach new concepts.
Nine weeks of the following bell ringers are included:
-
Monday: Root or Affix of the Week: Students type the root or affix, the meaning, three examples, and insert pictures for each example. Selected from grades 4-7 most used affixes and roots.
-
Tuesday: Picture of the Week: Students make as many inferences as possible about the picture in the presentation. Students type in at least 2-3 complete sentences.
-
Wednesday: Sentence of the Week: Students correct a grammatically incorrect sentence based on the CCSS 4-7 language standards.
-
Thursday: Vocabulary Word of the Week: Students type, define, break up, use the word in a sentence, and insert a picture for a CCSS literary device vocabulary word or CCSS vocabulary word. Based on the CCSS 4-7 standards.
-
Friday: Quote of the Week: Students read a quote and type what the quote means to them or makes them think of. Many quotes chosen from 4-7 grade popular/award-winning novels or inspirational role models.
TEACHERS LIKE YOU SAID…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Audrey B. says, “This is a great no-prep way to start class each day! I assign a week’s worth of slides at a time, but students do a slide a day when they first enter. It’s totally independent work, so that I can take attendance and get ready for class. Then we go over them and they turn them in for a weekly grade. So easy! And it hits many standards!”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Katelyn D. says, “Educationally, these bell ringers serve a REAL purpose. They’re not just time-fillers, but also enjoyable for my students every single day to come in and complete without complaints!”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kristopher S. says, “My students are engaged with this activity immediately when entering my classroom, and it assists in getting their creative wheels spinning. They enjoy the variety that this activity has from day to day. Thank you for the wonderful digital resource!”
