I can’t remember how many times I have looked at one of my students staring into space during Writer’s Workshop and asked them “What are you writing about?” Their response? “I don’t know what to write about it.”
-
Here is a great item to have in your classroom for writer’s block.
-
Simply cut each slide into its four divided sections (making sure to keep them in categorized and color-coded order). Then make sure to laminate them for extra durability!
-
Then punch a whole in the left hand corner of each writing prompt. When they are all cut out and hole punched you can either put a ribbon through the holes or a binder ring to keep them together. That’s it!
-
Next time your student says, “I don’t know what to write about,” you can easily hand them the writing prompt fan and they can get inspired by one of the prompts.
